Today in gym, we joined Mr. Fong's class to play a game of Benchball. It went well. In our assembly today, they announced the winners of the Yearbook cover contest. There were 7 finalists, including a student from our class, and a grade 5 student from Mr. Fong's class was the winner. There were also 2 students who told their whole story in front of the entire school - including one from our class! Today was our first day to meet with our Project Board groups. Some of the groups spent some time filling out work applications for projects they want to complete on the model of Calgary. In science, we continued research on parts of the solar system - next week we will finish our research and begin designing and creating object for our solar system model.
A reminder that if you have the wrong number of tickets, or if you need more tickets for the story night next week, please email Mr. Stanley. We have limited space still available. Tomorrow from 1:00-3:00 the school is hosting a community skate, down at the community rink. There will be hot chocolate available, and several students from our class have volunteered to help out. If you are interested in coming, please bring your skates, hockey stick if you have one and want to play, gloves, and a helmet. If there are enough interested people, we will be playing a game of shinny. The other rink will be available for free skating. Mr. Stanley will be there to play, and Ms. Jacobi says she will be there snowshoeing. Comments are closed.
