February 13th, 2018

Today Jeff Stockton came back to the school and we heard the continuation of the story of Grendel and Beowulf. We also finished our storyboards, and Jeff was happy to see them. He's asked us to spend some time with them every day to create a mnemonic device by using our fingers to remember parts of the stories that we are telling. In gym, we started doing Olympic sports including ski jump, and biathlon.

For science, we continued working on blueprints for scaffolding, and circuit diagrams for c-train lines. In math, we continued working on a visual journal page about fractions. We also multiplied and divided fractions. In Daily 5, we read a myth about Pegasus, and the next story coming up is about Heracles.

Mr. Vanderlinden is asking for dart-style Nerf guns to be donated to the gym for some Olympic events. They will be well taken care of, but they should be ones that you are willing to not get back in perfect condition, just in case.
